I bought my grandfathers house several years ago and in the outhouse was a little red metal box with a wooden bottom, about 6"wide and 15" long(approx.). The lid has the IH logo stamped in it with a chrome strip on the lid and front. the lid opens longways.Does anyone have any idea what this would have went on ,and a value. The box is in very good shape, even the wood is there and not rotten, all it needs is new paint. My grandpa used it to keep the toilet paper in,I dont know if he didnt like international or just couldnt find another box.thanks in advance for any comments

The tool box mounted on the light bar of an H or M. I have seen offerings between $80-100 for that. I don't think that many were built.

I have an original light bar toll box. There is no IH embossed on it.

Bob: I'm curious, too. Last summer, I bought three such boxes at an auction -- for a dollar! In addition to what you describe, mine have a cupholder (?) at one end, but no chrome strip, and no paperholders.

sounds like a tool box off a mower.
