Can someone please help me?

I'm looking to purchase a IH 460 Utility Tractor this weekend 2/3/07 and need to know the weight so that I will have the correct ramps for loading.

Thanks,

Bob

Ken Updike's data book says the Farmall weighs 5500, the utility 5300. He lists the 606 which is similar at 4900. Unless it is heavily weighted or has fluid in the tires, it shouldn't weigh over 5300.

Hi Bob,
The weight for a 460 6 cylinder gas 5265 Lbs. The weight for a 460 6 cylinder diesel 5485 Lbs. There isn't anything mentioned about a Utility 460 tractor in the Intertec Used Tractor Price Guide. OK In the 150 Years Of International Harvester book there is a 460 Utility 6 cylinder diesel, shipping weight 5800 Lbs. Nothing about the weight of a 460 gas Utility Tractor. Hope this helps.

tractordata DOT com lists the FARMALL 460 at around 5300 pounds DRY, with no implements, wheel weights, or fluid in the tires. I would expect the Utility to be similar, but they don't list a utility that I can find.

You could easily be looking at an 8000lb load here, depending on what's on the tractor. I would plan on hauling an 8000lb tractor if I were you.

Frankly, my main concern wouldn't be the ramps... Will your trailer and truck handle the weight? If they can't, then it doesn't matter what the ramps can hold up.
