Are the dimensions the same for a C hand start crank as they are for the Cub. Someone posted dimensions a few days back on the Cub.

I would like to have a hand crank to aid in turning the tractor over during valve adjustments and other tuneup purposes. I don't want to use that widow maker to start it with. I have a good starting Farmall on 6 volt. No matter what the temp outside (100 or -25), hit the starter and it is ready to go to work.

If I remember right, our 200 crank (same as the C) was quite long, longer then the A or the BN. I doubt Cub crank will work.

The cranks for B/BN/C etc. were longer than the A crank to allow clearance for varoius mounted machinery (e.g. cultivators) that projected ahead of the front bolster.

My home-made A crank is made from 3/4 inch steel rod with a one and a half inch piece of 3/8 all-thread screwed through a hole about 1 inch from the end. For your purposes, you could just use the rod straight and put a pipe wrench on it to turn. I start with mine, and put the first bend about 14 inches from the end, and the second about 12 inches further. You can measure the depth from the crank pulley to grill with a tape measure to get it exact. The other dimension doesn't matter much.

C crank is bigger than the Cub crank, probably all dimensions.
