1949 cub is using hyd.oil no external leaks believe oil is getting by pump into engine crankcase. what is involved in this repair? thanks !

The seal on your pump has probably become harden
from age and it may have worn a groove on the shaft where the seal rides. There's speedi-sleeves available to cover that worn area if yours is worn. Here's a breakdown on a pump. Your pump may be similar. Hal

Acman; Not an expert doesn"t look to be to big a deal. Just be sure and work in in a very clean place. There is a kit with all gaskets and O rings IH part number 355208R91 also, check the part number on your pump if it is 352035R91 you will need to buy an other O ring p/n 355742R91, this is not in the kit and the one in the kit must not work.
