You all filled me in a few weeks ago on some specs for an IH 350 utility. I just ran across a 1973 IH 354 gas.

Is there any significant difference between the 350 and the 354?

Thanks for your help.

Bob

I'm not sure, but I think a 350 utility could drag 2 354's backwards..There is significant differences in size...SuperCMORE

BK,
Although I can't tell you much about the 354, the 350 and 354 are completely different tractors.
The 350 was only made form 1956-1958. The 354 is obviously almost 20 years newer.

I'M NOT SURE but I THINK the I-354 is a continuation of the B-275, B-414, I-424 etc. line of tractors.

Phil, I happen to own both of these tractors. They are both solid, reliable tractors. However, the 354 is roughly 15 years newer and easier to find parts for. Here in North Carolina, a good 350 will run from 1500 to 1800.A 354 willrun about 2000 to 3000.If you need other information I can help you.

Although I don't have any personal experience with a 354, it's my impression they are significantly less powerful than a 350. That may not make any difference so the greater availablility of parts could make the 354 a more attractive option. I don't know about hp ratings but I'd be surprised if a 354 could pull a 3 bottom plow, while a 350 readily handles one.
