Does anyone have a copy of the procedure for adjusting the valves on a 450d? Thanks

I think you can adjust the following valves with No1 piston at TDC on the compression stroke starting near the radiator 1-2-3& 5, then bring No4 piston to TDC on the compression stroke and adjust valves 4-6-7 & 8. I would set them at.020" cold. Hal

I do not have the specification cold, but here is the method (works on all four stroke engines, kinda handy.
Locate the intake and exhaust valves from front it is E-I I-E E-I I-E on four cylinder Farmalls.
Turning the engine by hand with plugs out and in gas mode ign off. Treat each cylinder alone.
Turn engine in the correct direction, until #1 intake just closes (comes up)and just stops. Adjust the exhaust valve.
Turn the engine until the #1 exhaust valve just starts to move (downward). Adjust the intake.
This puts the cam at a known position to allow the other valve to be adjusted.
Do the same for each cylinder until done. Be sure to keep to one cylinder at a time, and the which valve is which. Put a magic marker tick on each intake and be careful. JimN
