I am going to Dayton this weekend and am wondering what I should expect. Will there be a lot of parts suppliers, a swap meet, an auction, a collectors dinner....? This is my first "convention" that I will be going to and the only other similar thing was at Ankeny, IA in 1990 (I was 14). Please let me know. I am from central IL and I really want to make sure it will be worth my while to go. Thanks.

Aaron

At first I didn't know if you were talking Dayton, Tennessee of Dayton, Ohio. (I'm in Georgia). It is in a different direction, but, anybody looking to buy something would do good to go to the Blackmon auction in Stutgard, Arkansas the first Saturday in March. I havn't been in a long time, but that day is devoted just to antiques and there is usually a big selection and a lot of the prices usually are very low. Just thought I'd mention it if anyone was interested.

Where do you find out about these things ? I heard/read wind of this a while back on this board but didn't recall the dates. I'll be out of town and it's only 30 mins up the road.

Perhaps one in Cincy/Columbus/Indianapolis or something later ?

There wil be a ton of parts suppliers and other vendors there. A lot of people to talk to, various speakers, etc. There's a dinner, but tickets are probably sold out by now- make sure you check when you get there!
