Now that I have everyone's attention...

Grandson got his first tractor on Saturday, a brand-spanking new Super H for less than $200. He is 3 and was spending the weekend with us. I had to adjust the seat so he could reach the pedals, and once he saw the wrenches were out he joined right in. He put about 50 acres on that unit this weekend, I'll probably have to change the oil soon! One thing for sure, I will NEVER have to fill the gas tank....I forgot what 3-year olds were like but they have A LOT of energy, never-ending it seems.

Wow! I paid $190 last Xmas. Santa brought one for my then 2 year old son. At the time it was our only Farmall. But now Daddy got one too, and they are parked together.

Unforunately, my son's Super H is the only one running. third party image

I am restoring a "real" super H. I think I need one like yours, where did you find it?

My son is a Account Manager in Ag National Sales for John Deere and he already has a new JD (with duals), for our first grandaughter. I need a Super H so she can get a fair and balanced approach to old iron.

Thanks, Gene

Hi Gene, I got it at Orscheln Farm & Home in Boone, IA. It is a "Scale Models" brand, made n Dyersville, IA.

I (think) they are owned by an Ertl family member, started a new company making toys in U.S. after the original Ertl company was sold and the new owners started building toys in Mexico.

Brent: That young lad is right into farming. DO NOT DISTURB, MAN AT WORK. We have a grandson, 18 months. Three months ago his first two clear words were "TRACTOR and BACKHOE". Since he has spent 98% of his time in city since birth, his parents suspect the Grandpa's have quite a bit of influence.

I have a 5 year old daughter that loves to help with the wrenches.gutting them out putting them up and so forth just today she got my 1/4 drive set out for me and while I wasn't paying attention she opened it up side down. It made me laugh and she helped me put the little pieces back in order. My dad was here to see it all happen he didn't say it but I could tell he was thinking that he went through that with me but he sure did get a good laugh out when he saw it happen to me. My 8 year old daughter wouldn't dream of helping even when when she was 5 so I am enjoying my little helper. With no chance of having any more I won't have a son to show what little knowledge I have to share but daddy's little girl has stepped up to the plate. p.s. better check that throttle it may be stuck WIDE OPEN L.O.L. I'd say it was well worth the money! Looks like a very pleased future old iron man there!

yeah we can only hope they grow up strong and still like their old man after the teen years. I plan on being a father that his girls don't hate so maybe it won't be so hard.My wife has a great relationship with her mother and her father passed when she was only 2 so she never got the chance to have him around.I didn't have my mother until I was 14 so I plan on things being different with my 2 angels. My 5 year old is more of a devil in angels clothing but oh well makes it more fun to figure her out she's not afraid of anything. That is unless big sister is scared in front of her then she is but alone she is fine with the dark.
