Yes, but some gear ratios are different and all 560 don't use same gear ratio. Standard 560 farmall first gear will turn pinion shaft slower than a 400. The high speed first and reverse in a 560 is same ratio as 400. Heavy tilage 3rd in 560 is same ratio as 400, regular 560 3rd is faster than 400. 2 4th speed used in 560 one same as 400 the other faster. Ring and pinion in 560 is lower geared than 400. When I say slower or faster thats if input of both was turned at same RPM. lot of 560 were updated or came with different bull pinion and brake shafts than a 400. Bigger bearing was used and differential, differential carriers and bearings were changed and also bull gears to match bull pinion tooth angle. Most 560 parts will work in a 400 rear, even the bigger 560 brakes and some roller bearings, but some stuff has to be changed all at one time to match other parts. Transmission gears can be changed with no affect on differential or final drive parts. Early 560 tractors that were never fully updated use some of the same differential parts as a 400.

Thanks for the answer I will keep the parts around. Always seem to come up with 400-450's with a bad gear or two. Thanks again. Have to go now to pick up another model 93 combine with the 153 engine I have a bn that needs a little more power But thats a hole other story.
