A Dremel Tool with a tiny wire brush wheel works WONDERS for shining up lelctrical parts and connections such as those. An NO harsh chemicals are needed!

be careful when using wire brushes on a dremel tool. Be sure to wear eye protection. For some reason the Dremel tool wire brushes shed their bristles at least 10 times any other wire brushes. Several of us around here have had problems with them.

No kidding. I just got one a couple years ago and have used up a bunch of the little cut off wheels. What a great tool.

I guess some folks can have trouble with just about ANYTHING in reply to flashback, 12-01-2007 14:06:17
I guess some folks can have trouble with just about ANYTHING! I have used them for YEARS to clean connections, etc., with very few problems.

And they sure leave the copper or brass parts clean and shiny!
