I got a H farmall 1939 modle and that big pump under the gas tank I guess it would be the belt pulley pump started leaking oil. I thought it was a gasket so i pulled the pump off and found out it was not the gasket.I see where it is leaking oil it is comming out the back where it looks like a plug goes or maby a freez plug something like that. I want some one too tell me what it is that goes there. I see a hole in it and turned the pump up to that point and oil came out the hole that is there. I also scraped it with a screwdriver and made another little hole so it is paper thin what ever goes there. Can someone tell me what to do to fix it.

Thanks a lot David

The part you describe is the Belt Pulley right angle gear box. (not a pump) the oil is comming out of a core plug made from mild steel and rusted through. Knock it out and purchase a brass replacement plug from NAPA that has a bolt in its center to swell it up. They are mistakenly called freeze plugs. Welch plugs and core plugs are correct. JimN
