The original subject was "McCormick corn binder advice".

I just came across this site.....and I need some help from someone out there in the implement community.

My family has my grandfathers row binder. I have pictures of it. But at this moment, I cannot tell you what brand it is. I"m told that it is in great condition and still works and has been in barns for many years now (in Texas)

If you have any knowledge of row binders and their worth and/or someone that I should contact, I would appreciate it.

We are selling the farm soon and I would like this to go to someone that would love to have it and not sit out in the elements at another location.

I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Brenda in Omaha

Been looking for a Corn binder for a while. Too bad this on is all the way in Texas. If it is a McCormick, it would sell quickly if you brought it to the Red Power Round up in Columbia, MO, June 11-14, 2008. Most of the ones I have seen sell go for $500-$700. So far have not found one near enough to me in decent condition. I will be in Columbia, and could leave room on my trailer to bring it home. If you have any interest let me know.

Haas,

Thanks for the reply and interest. At this point, I would have to call one of my brothers to see if they knew what kind it is.....and unless, one of them would be willing to transport it from South TX to MO, I don"t see that happening.

I could send pictures of it to you, if you wanted.

Thanks
