Would someone be so kind to give me the float level setting for a '48 H Farmall carburetor? It's a single float. Also please state where you take the measurement. Thanks much.

With float in raised position, it should measure 1 27/32 inch from bottom of float to gasket surface of upper body, with no gasket, and make sure you have the needle and seat intalled.

Tip carb upside down, and let it rest on the needle valve.. Set the float so it appears parallel with the base of the carb, and this should be close enough.

Thanks so much guys. Hated to buy the manual just to get this setting. Great Help. Hope Spring comes pretty quick. I'm getting tired of winter!!

That info used to be included in with just about any carb kit you could buy. In fact, the diagram that I emailed to you was scanned from an old set of instructions that came in a NAPA kit.
