I recently bought a Farmall Super C at an auction. The fan assembly was worn on the back side. It was spinning on the post, and it bore out the back side of the pully. I bought a replacement from Quality Farm and Country. I put this on yesterday, and now it has done the same thing to this pully. I can't figure out why it is doing this. I would appreciate any help!!! I can't afford to keep buying fan assemblies. Can anyone help me??

Thanks in advace for any help.

It also has been converted to a 12 volt alternator. If this helps.

Thanks!
Andrew

I'm guessing that you don't have the large washer on your fan hub shaft, and thats letting the pulley get drawn into the fan hub mounting. Is this possible?? I know that the one I have has 2 larger washers on it, one for the front (towards the radiator)and one for the back (towards the engine). Let me know what you find out...I'm curious. I would have thought that you'd have noticed that the pulley was rubbing though, when you mounted it. If this don't help let me know and I'll go look at mine and let you know how the shaft is made...
