A friend is contemplating buying a Regular for restoration. Tractor has a good tag. Motor does not run but is free. Manifold appears original (bottom outlet) and while pitted, has no visible cracks. Carburetor is brass (original?). Mag has spark. Wheels are round spoke - look like cutoffs. Tires hold air but are shot. Hood and tank are beat-up but intact - can see vestiges of decals on badly faded paint.

Asking price is $500. Sound fair???

I didn't buy my Regular, but I think that I'd offer $300 before going to 500.
Parts are kind of tricky to find for it, but it sounds like you have most everything you need. Does it have the starting tank? Is it in any kind of condition?
Good luck, you're gonna need it!

That would be a great price in the northeast. If it were local to me, I would buy it in a minute.

Bob I was offered a running Regular in early 1998 for $800 that had OK tires and was complete with decent paint and tin. I would think $250 would be more in line. Regular parts will be fairly difficult to find.
