Ken,

Here are more pictures of my C. First couple are of the 3 Point Hitch from Saginaw Tractor. The last one is the front blade before I repainted the tractor. I have not got around to painting the blade yet. Very soon though.

I like it! Do they make one for a Super A??
If so, do you have their web address.

Thanks much....

I think they do. The site does not show it, but they don't show one for a C either but they have them. Give them a call.

Brian, I really appreciate you posting the photos.

The 3-point looks like a really nice set-up. Is it all bolt-on? And before going this route did you give any thought to installing a fast-hitch and then converting to 3-point from there? Does the kit from Saginaw have everything including the hook-up to the C's hydraulics?

The blade set-up is interesting. How does the C do power-wise when it comes to pushing snow? Part of my road is on a hill.

Back to studying your photos..

I was going to buy a fast hitch for my C but couldn't find one. But I am glad now I didn't find one. This is far better and parts are readily available. 3 point attahments are much more available and this works better than the conversion. My dads Super C has the fast hitch and conversion arms. It never seems to work as good as a standard 3 point.

All you get for the basic package is the hitch and cylinder. They have the hydraulic valve and adapter. It looks very added on. I am looking for a more factory setup with the fast hitch valve. Having trouble finding one reasonable. Can you or anyone help me with this?

Brian I don't know of the where-abouts of a fast-hitch valve, but I'll keep an eye out for one for you.

It's very helpful that you have experience with both the fast-hitch with the 3-pt conversion and the Saginaw kit. As a result I will be leaning very much toward the hitch that you have.

How is your C's power for pushing snow? And is your blade adapted from the IH belly blade factory set-up?

I run out of traction before power. I usually take off all my weights in the winter and just use 1 set. I don't have that much snow to push and am just putting more load on the xmsn. More than 4-5 inches at a time is normal. When I am plowing in the spring, I use 3 sets of rear weights.

Brian, how wide is your snow blade?

Am also curious what serial# your C is?

I have a Super C and have wanted for some time to convert it to a 3 point. I have a bucket on the front that attaches to the axel. How does your conversion connect? I assume it also attaches to the axel and wonder if you know if both bucket and 3 point hitch can be connected at the same time. I use the bucket enough that I do not want to remove it to install the hitch. Any other options for me to convert?

My dad just bought a loader for his Super C. It uses the same axle clamps I use for my 3 point. THe spacing is the same. You will just have to run bolts through the loader frame through the axle clamps to the 3 point and you are going.

Paul,
Most three point conversions I've seen for Farmalls have been bolt-on units. If your loader bolts on using the drawbar clamps, the three point should be no problem. With some conversions you can even retain the drawbar. I'd look for one of those.

My 2¢,
Phil
