I have a '39 H with a Schwartz wide front and a duall loader running off the belly pump. I would like to put a sickle mower on the back, but have no idea how to get the haydraulics back there. Can anyone explain in detail how to utilize the existing controls and divert the hydraulics to the back so that I can switch back and forth from the loader to the mower. Don't leave any steps out please.....I am a novice, but eager to learn.

If you use the "Selective Lift Control" which is a Farmall attachment, you can run two different single acting cylinders independently or together. It attaches to the steering column. One hydraulic line from the Lift-All comes into the valve, one line leaves the valve to the loader, and one line leaves the valve and goes to the mower. You won't have to disconnect anything until you want to remove the mower or loader from the tractor. Place a wanted ad in the classifieds here at YTMAG and you will probably find a few to choose from. The picture makes it look bigger and more complicated than it really is.

Barry,
There are three ports on the side of the housing that holds the Lift-All pump. The two front ports are the same and the rear port is slightly delayed to lift the rear cultivator at the end of a row. Any one of the ports could be used to lift a sicle mower, just disconnect the loader first (with the bucket as low as possible) so the mower cylinder will have the fluid it needs. Plumb it to one of the front ports so it will not have delayed lift.
With the lift-All, you will only need the pressure line and will have only gravity drop, but that should be fine for a sicle mower. If you don't already have quick disconnects on the loader hoses, now would be a good time to install them. Then just run a hose to the rear of the platform with a quick disconnect there too, so you can hook up the mower when you want to use it.
Any questions, email me.

Phil
