MY DAD FOUND IN OLD BARN IN NJ WHAT WE THINK IS A 1938 FARMALL B NO INFO ON WWW ON 38'S THIS THING IS NEW AND HAD BEEN COVERED IN BARN DAD SAID IT STARTED ON THE FORTH TRY . NEED TO GET ALL THE INFO I CAN BEFORE I BRING IT TO NC "TANKS"

the serial no is on the block lower and right of #1 plug behing the throtle rod should match the one on the seat bracket or on the clutch pedal cover 1939 were the 1st starting with 501

hey guy do you think it could be an old AC? some models look alot like farmalls. or perhaps the year model is a guess and not correct? either way i hope it goes to a good home. ARMY, please make sure you/your father changes the oil and other necessary fluids before you run the machine. good luck to you.

There is no such thing as a 1938 B- in fact, I don't believe there were even prototypes of the B in existence in 1938, and if so, they weren't called Bs. The chassis serial number for the tractor will either be on a plate on the left seat support, or on a plate near the foot rest on the operators platform. A serial number can also be found on the engine, stamped under the magneto on the block.
