MW 9-speed transfer question

Could an M&W 9-speed from an H be put in a Super H? I'm thinking not since some of the gears on the Super have more teeth than the regular H. More teeth would make the gear have a larger diameter, therefore making the M&W countershaft's gears too big. Is my thinking correct?

If you put the complete 9 speed in it will work, but you will have the speeds of an H.

I can't answer your question but this page indicates that different parts are used for the H and SH.

Thanks for the input Jim and Wardner(esp. the diagram). Never thought about putting the whole transmission in the Super, but I don't think I'll do that. Bergen
