Is the belt pulley on an M the same as an H?

Just a little add to what Gene has told you. There were differant sizes. Most common ones being 6 1/2", 9 3/4", 11" and 12" diameters for the H and M. A 13" dia. pulley was available for the M. With most of the diameters you had a choice of 2 widths also.

Actually, Yes. The size didn't vary depending on the machine to be run. This was done by varying the throttle because these tractors are equipped with a full throttle governor. The larger diameter pulleys orginally came with an M and the small ones with an H. They will interchange though.

the size of the pulley for these tractors varried in dia debending on what belt speed was wanted on the machine operated as a hammermill threshing machine ect steel and fiber were avail take your pic

The belt pulley speed of the M is slower than the H. Using a larger pulley on the M will give the same belt surface speed as the H with a smaller pulley.
