When chocking my farmall, i get plenty of gas(as in all over the place). Should i not i have some fuel on the plugs? They are all dry after chocking and it wont crank. Thank you

to me like youve got a carb problem,You need to take it apart and clean it out. This may sound a little ridiculous but heres what Ive done before. If you are working on a leter series or any other with an updraft carb, its real hard to sqiurt some gas in the cylinders without removing the plugs, so jack up the rear, pour some gas in the exaust pipe. With the tranny in 5th turn the wheel backwards, this will turn the engine backwards and suck the gas in through the exaust valves. Then let the jack down, take it out of gear and try to start as usual. But be careful. The gas that doesnt go in the cyliders good and light up in the manifold and cause a fire.If its a carb problem itll start up and run until the gas burns out.But you can always remove the plugs one at a time and shoot a little in there like that.

I really wouldn't recommend the exhaust manifold technique. It only takes 2 minutes to remove the spark plugs and shoot some starter fluid into the cylinders. That is a lot safer than having unburned fuel in the exhaust portion of the manifold.

I think we'll have to get more background from Biggerred before we can give him a hand.

When was the last time this engine ran? If it was a loooong time ago squirt a little oil into each cylinder to help the rings seal and it should suck some gas into the chambers. Also check to see if the exhaust is clogged. The exhaust must be open for gas to be sucked in. Post your results.

Biggerred you need to clarify what you mean by not cranking. What model do you have?
