Does anyone know how much a B weighs with no weights and no fluid in tires? How much with 1 set of rear weights and no fluid? And how much with 2 sets of rear weights and no fluid? Do you think it would be fine to have one set or rear weights on while mowing the yard with it? We have avail. 2 sets of weights but took them all off now. I pull stuff like cedar trees and hare a little with it and wanna get a blade and push snow. I think it would be better if I put one set of weights on but would it hurt our yard? Thanks in advance!!!

My B with the thick cast rear centers instead of the stamped steel ones weighs just under 3000 with me on it{no fluid}.I think the rear weights must be about 130 each and the front weights about 40 each but I've never put the rear weights on.The B gets a little lite in the front with the mounted sickle mower. If you are worried about lawn maybe try turf tires on rear.hope this helps. Hey Gene, I just finished retoring a 1945 B that was given to me from my grandad in law's estate. What kind of a set-up do you use to push snow? We don't get much snow here in Indianapolis but it would be handy when we do get a little bit. It would also make it useful as right now I just run parades and give the neighborhood kids rides. Is it a homemade thing? If it could be done without to much expense I'd like to try it. STILLCRAZY west of INDY.

I have this front blade (homemade, was on it when I got the tractor) on my '41 B. Very simple construction, lifts by means of a bellcrank and a come-along. Extremely crude, but it works. Never tried pushing snow, as we seldom get enough to push.

Thinking about using a front blade. Know anyone that has one?
