I am looking for information on setting my valves. i have just gotten the head redone, and looked in the manuals i have and there is not much on this. specifically at what rotations to set which valves? i have no pointer or notches on the front pulley and do not see anything on flywheel. i do know where top dead center of #1 is from having it apart.

All info greatly apreciated

Al P.,To find #1 TDC put your thumb over the spark hole on #1 cyl (the one closest to the rad)and turn the engine till you feel outward pressure.Keep turning till the D.C. mark on the flywheel and the pointer on the bellhousing line up(look thru the hole on the bellhousing on the left side as you are in the seat)adjust the valves on #1 at this point.rotate the engine 1/2 a turn and adjust #3.rotate a 1/2 a turn and do #4.rotate 1/2 a turn again and do #2.you are now done.your valves should be set at .016 both intake and exhaust, cold.I hope I have helped, good luck.
