When grandad bought the H the people he bought it from just rebuilt it and put the power pack into it. How much HP does this add? Everyone tells me that there is a big difference in 5th gear!? IS there a noticable difference? How much HP would it have in total? Thanks in advance and have a good one!!!

Assuming the "power pack" added enough HP to make it equal to the Super H (you can't get enough cubes to make it equal to the 300 as I understand it), then go by what the Nebraska tests say...I think it was about 3 HP at the drawbar....

But, the Super H carb is closer to the M carb and I don't know how much this will reduce your power if you are running a regular H carb. I can't remember, but it seems like the governor setting was changed to 1650 rpm, which I think was also higher than the H but I'm not sure...anyway, 3 at the drawbar would seem to be about max, but without a dyno, no one will know for sure...BB

Depending on what company you buy from and whether you put in the "step head" or the domed pistons, it varies fro 4-7HP. That is from what I have read.

a power pack is when you put littler sleeves in to give it more bore. most h's have this around here.
