Farmall A PTO Lever

The PTO lever on my reciently purchased (and now running after sitting idle for 8 years) Farmall A is broken off. It currently has a scrap piece of rod stuck in the shaft where the original lever once was. What did the original lever look like? (round rod, flat metal, knob or no knob on the end, length, etc.) I'd like to make or even buy a new one. Thanks fellers.

just a round piece of cold roll with a cotterpin hole also a washer on the shift rod out of the trans might want to lossen the spring up first the screw slotted that is below the shaft that loads the shift lever it will be easier to work with the shift lever
