F-20 skips a beat

I am trying to debug a problem with my f-20. while it is running it seams not to fire on one cylinder every other revolution. its like seven beats and #8 misses. any ideas?

Check for burr or point setting too close. Check around carb for air seeping in around gaskets, manifold or worn shaft bushings. Check the compression on all cylinders and compare for uniformity

And if those ideas don't help, try running a little Marvel Mystery Oil in the gas. You may have a valve just beginning to stick and MMO would lubricate it.
