In the registry, why are IH and Farmall separate? Farmall was just a line of IH tractors so why aren't they together? By the way, if IH and Farmall are added together, wae beat John Deere by 52 tractors!

I believe when the registry was started there were no categories to choose from, and you had to add all the info (instead of select from pull-down list). A couple guys added Farmalls, while a couple others added Internationals. Once the categories had been entered the first time, they were both in the list, so follow-on additions to the registry had a choice, so folks have been selecting whichever they wished.

I have no idea. My only guess would be all though they were the same company, they did not soley put International on tractors until the late 50's early 60's. Prior to that it had Farmall or McCormick Deering. This is my guess. Bill {Antique Acres}

IH dropped the Farmall moniker from its tractors entirely at the end of the 1973 model year. Kinda sad, but I guess it ran its course.
