The shut off for the fuel strainer leaks at the shaft . looks like a packing nut , . do I put an o ring in there ?
Back then (1952) it must of been some sort of packing .
Anyone have the parts book ? I would like to get one some day , from case . All these little things now . I want to pop this thing off soon !!!!

Bob, I just take a cotton string and rub wax on it and wrap the shaft on the shutoff and reinstall the nut. Works for me.

Bob, yes it is a packing nut. Tighten it down. If it still leaks go to your Case-IH dealer and get new packing for it.
