I have been snooping around other peoples M's and so far have not seen a seat assembly like mine. It has a large (car size) shock behind the spring. I have read other posts and some call it a Super H seat assembly. It that what it is? I want to order Guy Fay's book but the Mrs. has forbidden it, (ie she got it for me for Christmas!).
thanks for the input!

I have a set of Arps Half-tracks on my H as well. They sure can throw a nice rooster tail when making tight corners.

Hey Pat's wife. I had a problem getting the URL for your 3 photo album to work here at YT. So I took the URL of the seat picture and copied it to the bottom box "optional image URL" and it worked. Before you hit the post button, you can always test drive the preview screen to see if the picture comes up. If it doesn't, hit your browser back button and try something else.

Thats definitely the seat I have, although mine is more pitted rusty than anything right now. Pat posted some numbers so I am going to hunt for a new shock now. Your tractor looks beautiful.
Half-tracks on an H eh? That sounds way too cool!
If you have a pic of that I would love to see it.

Regards,

BTD

I grabbed another picture from Pat's album. Unfortunatly, the photo shows only a half-assed half-track. Must be in its summer set-up. Nice looking tractor though.

I've got the monroe seat as well. The shock I bought is WAY too heavy duty, so be careful and check out for softness. I found it by trial and error at an auto parts store.

I'm going to try and post a pic if I can figure it out,but for now I've got some numbers.Monroe no.2078 364.Next line below reads 1149.Top line reads Pat no 2004 330.these are probably only partial numbers because they are difficult to see underneath all the paint. This is for the long shock behind the seat spring.Hope this helps,Pat

Thanks Pat! That is more info than I had. My shock is so corroded I can't make out a thing.

That was a Monroe aftermarket seat assembly. Check out Red Dog's thread about a dozen threads down on this page.
