I have a 1950 farmall C and I am Noticing some white coloring under the faded red paint, around the air cleaner and fenders. Is this the Color of IH's primer or do I have one of those demo. C's produced in '50? the serial # is 51968, and according to the list here it is a '50. How much more valueable is a demo than a regular ? Any help would be greatly appericated. Thanks !

Andy: I've never seen or read where IHC used white primer so you may very well have one of the 1950's white demo. As to extra value? Hard to say but there are some still around so they're not real rare and a restorer could opt to paint any 1950 C white. It would help value if you had pictures and its history when new etc harvey

That's Cool ! but I like my farmall's red, not white. Maybe I'll paint it red anyway, and when I get ready to sell it I'll paint it white. Or, I could leave it alone until I sell it and paint it white then. That may not take long, as soon As I pay it off. Besides, What I really want is an MD with a 450 engine for the power. (friend's got a Allis D-17, and I like allis, But I don't want to feel like a wimp next to Him.)
