I am looking at a scraper and was told that it had been pulled by a dozer, HD10, and a ag tractor Int. 750. My question concerns the 750. Does anyone have info regarding a 750? I don't doubt the person, just out of touch with newer tractors. It is a 4.5 cu yd scraper, I am concerned my 65 hp tractor may not be heavy or strong enough to load the scraper...Andy

Just a thought Andy, did your informant mean a 650? 370 cu.in. Diesel motor, like a big WD9. Regards, Redfan.

What model of tractor do you have? I would doubt that it would pull that scraper very good. We have used our 856(100hp) on a 4 or 4.5yrd and when ya get into clay it works it really hard.

Jon- Its a Jd 3020. The loading would be river run sand, gravel. Present owner said it would be ok, just don't know for sure how well it would pull under loaded condition. Also have a small HD5, need to replace track chains though. Has anyone ever heard of or know of a 750 or thearabouts? Thanks in advance....Andy

No I've never heard of an IH 750. How solid is this ground you are going to be using the scraper in? If its fairly soft, it won't take much spinning(which you will do pulling that scraper) to dig a whole and be stuck. Also, if you do decide to buy it, make sure you look it over very carefully, those small scrapers aren't really made for dozers and break alot when used behind one.

Jon- We will be very careful in choosing what to purchase, not to much around this area. Have found a lot of older dozer pulls. Finding it rare to locate elevator tow types in the smaller capacity for farm tractors. Wish we could find a 5 or 6 yd w/chains, I think the tractor would handle that. May have to get a set of duals to add to traction.
