I have a '46 W6 that has no hydraulics. I was wondering if the hydraulic pump off of a Super W6 would work on mine, its the distributor driven kind. My W6 has a mag, but can it be made to work? The reason I ask, is that a friend of mine has a trailer bushhog with a remote cylinder that he uses with his M, which has regular hydraulics, can I retrofit this? Thanks

My 45 w-6 has the front mounted pump through the crank to run a backhoe

The w6 engine is the same as an M. It will bolt on but you have to replace the entire distributor/pump housing because the shaft is longer. I have also seen a W9 with a pump running off the hand crank in the front of the frame. You may need more capacity for the fluid too.
