STUCK GAS CAP

I have a threded lid gas tank on a Farmall F-12 the main cap is free
but the back cap rusted solid i have tried eyery
thing put a pipe wrinch on it put penn. oil in the
threds and chiseled it but i cant get it free does
any one out there have any ideas

This is a thought dangerous one though, has the tank been drained and free of fumes--if so and you are positive then put some heat on it. That always works on stuck threads but then again none of my
past experiences included a potential explosion.
Just a thought, ok guys let me have it for this
stupid suggestion.

Hi jiM, I would think that it would be safe only with adding, nitrogen gas, co2, arogon, or water to replace any left over gasoline fumes.

I know you want to save the orginal cap, but in this case I would just cut the old cap with snips and get it over with.
