F-12 GAS CAP STUCK

I have a 1934 farmall F-12 with a threded lid gas
tank it has the two lid gas tank and the back lid is stuck I have put a pipe wrinch on it chissled it and beat it but cant get it off and i dont
want to put a torch on it because i dont want to get blowed up and i got about 5 gallons of gas in it does any one out there have any ideas

Wayne, I would not use a torch on it no matter how stuck it was. You've probably already used some type of penatrant but is there any chance of using a small tube in the nozzle of a can of PB Blaster to stick up into the threads. Just keep forcing the stuff in there. I have never tried it but would probably resort to packing the whole cap and surrounding area in dry ice. Metal contracts when it gets cold. After the area has frost on it, remove the dry ice and pour liberal amounts of boiling water on it. Maybe it will be enough of a change to break it loose.//FB
