How does one tell what kind of Cub one has?

Start with the serial number off the plate near where the steering column enters the front casting. Get the number off the Cub and then go to the serial numbers on this site to the left. You should be able to get the year and type of Cub there.

Basically there are two types if you don't count the 154s and 184s and the Cub cadets. If yours has the seat offset to the right, it isn't one of those.

This leaves the Cub and the Low boy. The Low boy is shorter than the regular Cub. There is a High crop varient of the regular cub but it is rare.

Look also in the tractor photo section ans search on Cub and you should be able to tell what you have or what you are looking at....BB
