I was given a 1951 Farmall (M)it runs great,I put a new radiator in and a used gas tank. The tin is so-so I paid $75 for the gas tank and $150 for the radiator.I don't need the tractor and would like to sell it.Does anyone know what it is worth?
I was offerd $900.00 for it,is this a fair price?
Thank you all.Brian New Haven,Indiana.

As a comparison, I just paid $1300.00 for a working late 1953 Super M. 60% rear tires, rims not the best but will be OK for awhile, needs new fronts, sheet metal very straight but wuth surface rust. Needs a tune-up and I will do all of the usuual fluid changes and send the radiator out to be tested. It's not leaking but I always do this. It does have one thing about it that I just can't abide; a CT generic "one-fits-all" plastic steering wheel. Yah-it works, but the letter series Farmalls are the best looking tractors that ever lived and this trctor deserves better so I've got a repro. wheel ordered. Yup-I'm prejudiced; my Uncles M was a powerful force during my formative years; I put a lot of hours on that machine.

Brain, Tractors are like the stock market, they go up and they go down, some parts of the country get more than others as well. If you need the money and the person you are selling it to is going to take care of it, or restore it then I'd sell it. If it's going to a bone yard for parts or a dealer I'd list it on the forsale ad's here, the ad's with pictures bring better responce's in some case's than the other ad's. I always listed mine in both with a ref in the written ad's to see the picture ad. Wish I was closer and had the money I've always wanted a M in fair shape but first I have to bring the 1943 H back to life I saved from the bone yard :o)

And rims.
Up here on the NY/Penn border, if tires and rims and sheet metal are reasonable, it will bring $1000 to $1200.

Hummmmm $900.00 wish I was in Indiana :o)I hate to say this but if the tires are in fair condition and it runs good, sheet metal is ok, it's more than likly worth a little more than $900.00, more like $1.200 at best $1.400. But that's just my guess, if it was stored inside, had very good paint, new tires front and back then it would bring a fairly good price of maybe $2.500 to $3.000
