He The Red, You said to set the carb. float 1 1/8 inches from bottom of float to carb. topbody. With the float toutching the top of carb body it steel measures 1 3/8. it will not go up to 1 1/8. Shuarley you don't want the float toutching the top of the carb. bole.

Bill all I can suggest at this point is to make sure the float is closing the needle just before the top of the float hits the upper carburetor body. It sounds like that is not the correct float.

Red: If I remember right you said 1-1/8", then said the book called for 1-13/32", which I believe would be about 1-3/8", Right? If that is the case, his is about right.
