I know this has been mentioned before, but I searched the archives with little luck. I am looking for a set of decals for my Farmall A. however I want the kind that has the clear backing so that the tractors paint shows through, rather than a bumpersticker like decal where it has its own backing color. Does anyone know where I can find such a set, that is, makers, suppliers, etc. Any and all help appreciated. Thanks

I got my decals for my MD's at Tractor Supply Corp. They are the clear backing you are talking about.

Agen and others, the clear backed decals are made on mylar. Numerous places carry them but I have always been very satisfied with those I have purchased from Maple Hunter Decals. Their email is maplehunter@msn.com Phone #(765)932-2027.

I too, was looking for the same clear background
decals for my farmall B. I got them from Mark
Wood at Mark's Tractors in Gifford, Illinois
(217)694-4735. I got them about a year ago and am
real pleased with them. A full set was around $20

AGEN, I had the same problem with my C. The tractor paint was much nicer than the cheap red backing of a repro decal. Check with your local "Fast Sign" shops in most towns that do lettering and delivery truck lettering. They were able to cut out the Farmall lettering and place on a temp carrier sheet for transfer. I don't have any backing sheet at all, just individual letters properly spaced. It looks great. There are other things that can be done that are less costly.

Find a good sign shop and they should be able to help.

Kent: Curious - do you remember a ballpark figure on having the sign shop do it? Thanks, Jim
