Have a resurected International 3414 (B414 painted yellow ). Is equipted with a Lucas Distributor. The thing lays dead in my shop for lack of a Distributor Cap & Rotor. The local International dealers laugh at the idea that I'll find a new or even good used set for the machine. I'm told they were primarily imported to Canada from England. There has to be a source out there to get a cap & rotor. Anybody have any ideas I can chase?

Bill, I know nothing about your tractor. You mentioned a Lucas distributor. A long shot, but maybe the same parts from Ferguson TE-20 might fit. They used Lucas. An MG might have used the same thing. Also, maybe a distributor from a USA Farmall might fit your machine. Let us know when and how you solved the problem. Might help lots of other folks.

Hi Bill, Try part# 811735 cap or 3047513R1, #3069778R1 for the rotor or 3047514R1

Cap 3047513R1 and rotor 3047514R1 go together as a set.

The reason for two parts numbers is there different depending on what application the engine was in.

Also try getting parts from Buckeye Tractor. Barts prices are very good and his service is excellant.

I did a dealer search for a new cub crankshaft, and buckeye came up as having one.. I called, and it was used but reground (without bearings) and they wanted $1,400 for it.. I had to ask for the price 3 times just to make sure my ears were working right... Not to reasonable as far as I am concerned... heck you can get a rebuilt crank from CT for $350 (with bearings), and a new crank for $400 (no bearings)
