Can anyone describe what you get with the harness? I mean proper diameter wires and such, end connectors put on so it's just a bolt on application? Or is it very difficult to put on? How much does it cost from Case/IH? The tractor is a '54 SH w/6v distributor sort of wired to run by the previous owner. I'd appreciate the advice.THANKS, Bill from Mooreland

Hello sir, My dad has had a 54'Super H for over 30 yrs,you don't see too many of them around anymore. Carter & Gruenewald Co. in Brooklyn WI. can set you up with complete , or partial, wiring harnesses(factory original)and prices are resonable. They are a Case IH dealer, the phone #is 1-608-455-2411 they also have a web site. Good luck.

Of the two harnesses I've bought from CaseIH, '55 Low Boy and '42 H, they have installed with no fuss. For most of the length they are gathered in a black web and terminate with the proper connectors. No trimming is needed or splices necessary. Even the wire colors matched the operator's manual diagrams in both cases. Correct restorers use the cloth harnesses, but I've chosen to go with CaseIH as mine are working tractors.
