I want to change valves in my A to G size valves.But I need smaller stems. Any sugestions.Thanks Wade

Bore out your guides. A 70 to 730 valve or use valves our of a CAT. I think it might be a model 4 or 6. It's been awhile. Take your "A" valve to a CAT place and try to find the right one to make sure. A old 22-36 IH valve work also. Some big Fairbanks and Waukesha motors will work too.

Wade, Do you have a styled A or unstyled A?Too big intake valve on the ramp head will defeat the purpose unless you try and flycut around the valve area of head. Earl

If my memory serves me correctly, I had 730 gas valves put in my A. The stem diameter was correct, but they had to be shortened and a new groove for the locks/retainer turned in it. Mike
