I've heard that there is a M5 and a GIV Moline down in the Carolinas and they are awesome. Does anyone know anything about them?

Nice response Dave. Are you pulling the Cocshutt 570 this year or did you manage to get another tractor put together?

Take care,

Allen I sold the 570 this spring. Got Colleens E-5 put together and it is doing good for what it is. Iam starting on a G-1000 for our local Super Farm classes. it will have a 585 turboed but wont be ready till next year. Have you been pulling yet? Dave

Hopefully I will pull next Sunday. I have a few details to finish up on the tractor and I am way behind on other chores at home. It will be a work in progress and certainly will not be pretty this summer.

Next year I hope to put a Super 99 GM together if I can figure out how to get enough hooks for it. I keep lobbying one local group to allow GM powered tractors. Right now they have a rule where it must be naturally asperated but it needs the supercharger to run. I may change my mind and build a LP G-VI or a Massey 95/97 as they should be about the ultimate the way the rules are set up. Then again I may junp to their hot farm class which uses limited rpm's, cubes, small turbo and no water injection with the 99.

The Moline should certainly be different from what they normally see. Given your touch I'm sure it will run with the best of them.

Take care,
Allen P.

What kind of officials would declare a stock engine illegal when it was factory equiped with the blower?

Short sighted, arrogant, egotistical, ignorant, etc. are some of the words that have come to mind in my dealings with them. Lazy too, as they didn't seem to be willing to do any research after I started to ask the question.

Probably the same idiots who won't let a tractor
pull with the tire size it came from the factory
with and then call it a stock pull.
