Made my first pull today in Simsboro LA. Used my stock R. It weighed in at 8285lbs. Put me in the 8500lb stock farm class. This was as big as stock went. There were a few bigger guys in there. Including a 830 diesel weighing 13,000lbs. (he won) I didn't place. Pulled 164ft. It did good(nothing broke). There were 9 in my class and there were a few that came up shorter than I. I think everyone enjoyed seeing a tractor that big pulling that was THAT stock. Most of the others had the PTO's removed or other little mods.

First pull huh? Your hooked on it now aren't ya!! LOL!! It really is alot of fun especially if you go out there with the outlook of having fun. I have a stock Oliver 88 that we pull in the 5500 and 600 # class and although we haven't won anything we sure have fun. My son has been pulling it in farm stock and I pull in open. Heck we pull for family bragging rights, the heck with those other guys!!LOL!!!

have fun!

The 8500lb stock class was the biggest stock class. The had a 10,000lb open and 10,000lb combined but no 10,000lb stock. The 830 won the 10,000lb open and the 8500lb stock. It didn't really bother me, there were some weighted down 70's and 720's that made some good pulls too.

I was at the tractor pull at Simsboro also. Had a great time but got as hot as i ever did, no breezes or nothing.I think the 830 was pulling in another class, because i got first place in 8500 with a 60 JD and i think a LP 630 came in second. I pulled 292.5. I remember your tractor, thats part of the fun learning something new at every pull. Also every track is different. That track in the beginning was tuff and pulled the tractors really hard could'nt get enough weight on front.Just keep pulling and have fun.
