We had a great time in J/P on Sat. with the 4 new 5 MPH classes. I pulled in three of the four new classes. This gave the stock boys (and girl) a chance to flex their power. As always we enjoyed watching Daryl on the Mighty Massey, one day I am going to try to arrange a deal to drive that tractor at least one time. Thanks "D" and "B" for allowing us to pull at your place. We belive that the 5 MPH Classes will make a "go".

Couldn't agree more about Saturday's pull. GREAT time had by all. The real kicker was pulling "The Bulldog" 684 feet(~:

How's your trophy case holding up with ALL those trophies??

I'll have to count on the old man and Miss Pam to see what The Bulldog does on the 20th & 27th - I won't be there [but will TRY to be thinking about everyone]. See ya again in August

Do you have to have the right "block" to pull the 5 mph class too, or does that just apply to the "bone stock" low gear only class? Dang, sounds like yall just about got a class for every tractor down there now. I reckon if everybody gets first place it would cut down on the whining considerably. How about a 4mph class for the ones who wanna go faster than low gear but can't compete at 5? Maybe call it the semi- stock 4mph class. Gurantee you that one would go over big.

The block rule is old history now, get the right block, create some power, and come pull with us. The girl mentioned that Pam will pull for her, that is a good choice, but I like to use her father-in-law (C. B.). He made things happen on an old Super H in the 4200# class. Big Daddy was very pleasant on Sat. If you are not there, you are missing a lot of pulling "fun". Thanks for the opportunity.

Yall tickle me. A week or 2 ago you were all hell-bent to go back to low gear only in stock classes. You were crying about being "out-ran" instead of out-pulled. Low gear was the ONLY fair way to pull stock tractors. Now a week later your'e raving about a 5mph "stock" class, and how much fun that is. I'm guessing by the time it's all said and done SATPA's rule book will make a NY phone book look like a nickle comic book. I can't wait to see what's next. Guess it depends on who gets beat at the next pull. Thanks just the same but I reckon I'll leave my engine block the way it is. It's legal everywhere but yall's association. Who knows maybe I'll come up with some factory documentation yet.

Sorry to lose you pulling with us, but understand your block situation. Don't know about "legal everywhere" - maybe just hasn't been protested. Whatever the case, want to wish you the best with your pulling. IF you ever come up with "the documentation" you might be able to retire from selling copies (-:
Have fun..... .

Yep, the "right block" stays for stock classes. Several people pulled 2nd/3rd gear in 5mph classes and no one blew the horn (except the M pulling in 4th gear in 4700 5mph class!). So if you can go faster in 2nd gear (and your block doesn't get dq'd) come join the fun.
If people wouldn't whine just because they didn't get 1st place, maybe there would be less whining on this forum. We're having FUN..... .

Just don't come in and beat the "regulars"...Talk about whinning...sirens is a better word! Does the new rule do away with the RPM limit for stocks? Doesn't seem to matter to some anyway. Hey 'flogger' how you doin'? Did you do any good at Denten? I got 13 out 0f 30 and was only 2.5 feet from 5th.

Makes one think that clubs/organizations in other parts of the country, who may be viewing this format are wondering just what the*H* is the problem in the Southeast. Besides NTPA, no one else seems to be using the forum to whine and hold personal grudges - what's the story. (send me your addresses and I'll send you some cheese for your whine)
As has been said before, build YOUR track, with YOUR rules OR just go ahead and pull where you are pulling and stay the *H* out of SATPA. This particular discussion started with one person expressing their view about a great day of pulling. Yet it has become a bitching session from people who can't live by rules of others. Have a Great Day.

everyone is happy where they are at or else they would be somewhere else so why mak a big stink just pull and have a good time remember when this was a family thing .all got along then why not now
and let rules be rules if you don't like them move on and if you can't win try again because everyone don't win every time if so they are bad cheaters bottom line. have fun where ever you are and smile it make all better

Well now yall do kinda put a sign on your back with some of these nit-picky rules and policies, and it seems like somebody is always pissed about something. I think the other clubs have a set of rules and if there is a dispute they just read the rule to the disputer. I reckon that's the difference. Anyway Agent Orange and myself have both done a tour of duty done there. We both still pull almost every week and we hear the gossip, in addition to what we read on here. I guess it's just too hard to resist digging yall a little when we get a chance. Don't take it personal. I might want to slip down there and pull against you sometime. I promise I'll behave if I do.

sounds to me like you're a trouble maker...got to have rules and regulations..all clubs have them..have been in other clubs myself and found rules to be made at a meeting, only to be changed by the time you got home just because someone had a friend who had a friend that the new rule would upset....get my drift..... .SATPA is a great organization and proud to be a part of it..stick around the other clubs long enough and you will find out...as for rumors----that is exactly what most of what you hear is---rumors and nothing else..you also know what assuming does to people..enough said.....

Flogger, you will have to leave that big #hit stiring stick at home. By the way, are any of the JD boys pulling with SATPA now? There were several strong JD'S from around Rocky River and Locust that pulled some last year. There was one "620" that you just about had to shoot to stop.

Mr Einstein,

Good to see you again. Nope seems like trouble just seems to follow me. I remember the 620. Guy's name was Larry something or other. Had a ugly identical twin brother. Used to come in with a whole fleet of Deeres. I'm a farmall man but I think I saw him make Bigdaddy sweat one time. But only one time.

What's up Orange,

Had a big time. Got 4th in 6200, 4th in 6500, 5th in 5500 and 3rd in 7200. Not too bad for an old SATPA out-cast. Lot of close pulling in 7200. The first 6 tractors went 127 feet. Had a 3 way tie for 4th. Made it up to Tomlin Mill on sat. Got 4th in both classes there. It was a 4th place 4th weekend for me!
