sounds like a good question for Goldsberg. Where is your timing set at? What was the stock spec for that engine. Have you degreed the cam in motor to double check the specs? Is intake centerline as installed matched up to cam card? Stock timing gears have alot to be desired and can vary from gear to gear. Bullet has done work for guys that I know and they are very happy, but they are tubocharged diesels. Good Luck!

Bud , Does your tractor miss and quit or do you think you have just lost bottom end lug. When you installed the cam was the cam timing Ok? Take compression reading at full throttle. Then adjust valves to .030 take compression reading let us know where your at.What kind of vacuum does it draw at full throttle ?You will have to use vacuum gage with damper to get correct reading. Does your cam grinder understand low rpm engines? Have you talked to him about it so he has a chance to defend himself. Earl in Illinois

A little help (maybe a lot) would be to add 10 thousands or more to the valve lash especially on the exhaust side. It sounds like you may be droping the vacume and the motor stops breathing and as the rpms start to fall you are not filling the chamber.

Any way, it can't hurt to try. This should decrease the duration a little.

I have the same cam with firecrater pistons and 450lp head and LP manifold, runs great, dyno's at 95hp. do you have a stroke in the crank?

bud i'm no expert but i would try another carb that was known to be a good one.or just put the one you have now back to stock as a troubleshooting measure.we had 400 that ran fine until the carb was modified.that thing was an aggravating SOB no amount reworking could fix.that carb was replaced with one that modified identically and it worked perfect.apparently the original carb had a casting flaw in the throttle body that didnt show until it was reworked.
