Hello everyone,

Here is my deal. I have an Oliver 77 that i pull. Last year i only had one set of weights witch we just bolted straight to the cast iron hub. I recently purchased 2 more sets of weights and am lookin for an easy method to put them on and gettin them off. I have seen them with longs bolts but i think this wouldn't hold up. I have also seen the weight bracket mounted on the hub that u slide the wheel weights onto. I like that method but i don't know if someone makes them (like a company)or the are home made. all the ones i have seen look very nice. I am lookin for advice, opinions, thoughts, and maybe someone out their can tell me where i can pick a set of those bracketes up. Thanks in advance.
Brandon

i have an 88 that pulls farmstock 5000 - 7000 pounds. i use two sets on the inside and up to six sets on the outside , usually just five,on a pressed steel wheel. i bolted the inside weights to the wheel with 5/8 bolts. i drilled all weights to 7/8 in two opposite holes to allow for some "farmer fittitng" with so many sets on the outside. then use grade 8 3/4 allthread and run through the wheel and inside weights, nut it down tight while trying to keep the outer ends at the right distance apart. cut them to length for your amount of weights allowing about 2 inches extra. i use 1" black pipe cut to length for spacers for each class so i never have to run a nut down more than about an inch hope this helps email me if you have questions curtndi@hotmail.com

I have seen pullers make a plate to fit their hub and weld s large pipe the diameter of the hole in the weight on it and make a collar to slide over the pipe with some locking bolts to hold everything in place. looks like it works good.

go get some all-thread and put a nut on each side of the rim to hold them on then you can slide on the weight and put a nut on to pull it all in tight, when you use 5/8 all thread it will hold up to quite a bit when tight.
