Has anyone purchased these new blocks from Schooler Motor Sports yet? How much grinding is required to make them fit? Thanks.

Long block would probably mean it is styled after the unsty G F485 block or you will get into a non-stock argument.1 inch longer than the powerblock or the styled G block.I'm not sure though on the size of Alan's.
I made my own and I went back [into] the case about 2 in without a spacer using the 485 block x 9.375 stroke. That's where my pistons stop there bottom travel.

As G man says you still have a time keeping up.I'd say you have a strong Div 3 and a medium to low power div 4 .But you will enjoy the power against other Deere's. 4th and sometimes 5th gear in 5500lb

Also the jury is still out on how much a G crank can stand with 400 + cubes per journal.

Bryan to run a 7.5 you need a 1" to 2" spacer between case and block to make them functional and you know what this does for you,so ask your self a question can I stand the heat in Div. 4 & 5 then you will have your answer.Drop me an email some time. Gman
