I have a JD70 that I've opened up to around 570 ci. I'm wondering if the stock carb will still feed it adequately or not? Do I change the fixed jets or can the power valve be adjusted or modified? With the stock displacement and the oil bath filter removed, the power valve had to be opened pretty much all the way. No porting or polishing done at this point. Robert's Carb would be the easy way out but I'd like to attempt it myself if I could find out what it is that needs to be done. Thanks for any input.

Start at the fuel tank. Get rid of fuel shut off valve if you can't figure out how to make it flow more fuel. This carb has a very small needle and seat. You will need a larger needle and seat. The fuel bowl is small you have to keep it full. Will your club let you run a electric fuel pump??? You have 2 fixed jets 1 for each cyl. you will need to enlarge them until you are back to 2---3 turns on the adjustable load. Don't overlook fuel tank cap vent.If you don't follow these easy steps you will run out of fuel before you get to the end of the track.Have Fun. Earl in Illinois
