Can you bore an M block?, How much is safe? If not can you run one without sleeves? This is a stock M.

Don't know w/o sleeves....

But I do know you can bore out an M block to accept sleeves for 4 1/4 inch pistons.

Absolutely maybe!

From what I've been told, you can bore the block to accept sleeves for 4 1/8 pistons, but the success you have will depend on how much corrosion you have in the water jackets.

Does this help? I've decided that I won't bore my M. You can install 4 sleeves for 4 inch pistons w/o any boring - if you want.
