Bill, there should be a very thin large size hex nut on the back of the American Bosch injection pump. Take it out. With the throttle level wide open (engine not running you should be able to see the end of a threaded shaft with a round nut. The round nut will have two slots on the front face. You will need to adjust this nut. It can be usually done with a flat bladed screw driver but drilling out the center of a piece of steel rod and grinding the end to match the slots is the easiest way.

I believe you turn it "in" but it's been a long time since I have done it. Take it easy a little goes a long way. The same pump with the same head was used on Super 77, Super 88 and Super 99 (6 cylinder) diesel tractors. There is one turn difference between the fuel settings for each tractor. Adjust the nut in stages until you have a dark exhaust under full load. Not completely black, you should still be able to see through it. Don't forget to clean up any restrictions in your intake system.

Good luck,
A.P.

AP.. You have any other little trick... we have basically the same pump on a WD45 D.. Any ideas if the Ollie pumps are bigger?? We have turned the screw in until it stopped and then backed it out.. it smokes a little, but nuthing like the Ollie's with the same pump... What do you think about increasing the charge pressure.. with ele pump.. (works on some of the others.) Any idea about the injectors?? Interchangeable... sorry for all the questions... JDGnut
